PETER KATES
G.M.D. Computrack Network Boston. located
in Bellingham, Massachusetts, is owned by Peter Kates. Peter
graduated from high school in Natick, MA.He started road
racing in 1987 and after advancing to expert, began teaching
the Penguin Racing School’s Basic License Certification course
in 1989. In 1993 he opened PK Suspension in neighboring
Framingham, selling and
servicing forks and
shocks and providing chassis set-up. In 1994 he completed training
and established a valuable business relationship with Penske Racing
Shocks. In early 1996 PK Suspension became the Boston network location
for G.M.D. Computrack, specializing in motorcycle chassis measurement,
correction and optimization. Also in 1996 Peter attended Race Tech’s
Basic Course and followed it up in 1997 with Race Tech’s Advanced
Course becoming a Race Tech Suspension Center. In 2000 he completed
data acquisition training at Pi-Research.
Peter’s racing highlights include finishing
second in Loudon Road Race Championships in 1993 (GTO), 1994
(Lightweight Supertwins) and 2001 (GTU). His off road racing
accomplishments encompass multiple regional enduro and hare scramble
wins and in 2002 he finished in second place in the New
England Trail Riders’s Association (NETRA) B Vet Enduro class
championship.
Peter’s ten years of motorcycle chassis and
suspension experience has included ownership of G.M.D. Computrack
Boston, Virginia, New York and Southern California. The G.M.D.
Computrack Network has been involved with private and manufacturer
racing teams on regional, national and international levels.
MIKE MARTIRE
G.M.D. Computrack NYC is located in Milford, CT and is operated by Mike
Martire. Mike graduated from high school in Shelton, CT and attended the
University of New Haven’s mechanical engineering program.
Mike is a highly trained welder and worked as a welding engineer for seven
years before opening G.M.D. Computrack NYC in 2001.
Mike raced BMX for 12 years growing up (with great success) and started road
racing in 1996. In 1998 and 1999, Mike had multiple top three championship
finishes in the unlimited classes. Again in 2002, he finished the season on the
podium in the 600 Superbike class. Mike has also had top ten finishes in AMA 600
Supersport and Formula USA national events.
Mike’s years of education, work and racing have given him the knowledge and
experience to understand how a motorcycle is supposed to perform under normal
riding or racing conditions.
